Been chronically tired this week since the rowing. Decided to sleep in until 5 AM which pretty much precludes working out.
Run 4.3 miles. Tried going very slowly: 14:15 mpm. Got to 4.3 and started to feel it in my calf. Was hoping for 5 miles. My shoes have 325 miles on them. Have ordered replacements.
Whole-body dumbbell compound movements. Not particularly strong since I’m tired from the rowing. Volume: 16520 lb. Used free-form.
Rowed 8,328 m @ 2:42.7 s/m. Purposely took it easy since 45 minutes was a 50% increase over what I’ve one up til now Really felt the whole-body effects on Monday and into Tuesday.
Did not sleep well and got off to a slow start.
We only did a mile today.
Slept well. Woke up at 6:00
Walked 2 miles with Denise. Roughly 21:00 mpm pace.
Back still mildly sore from yesterday…presumably the row. I was wrong to reach so far forward on the recovery into the catch. Don’t really know about my calf. Haven’t tried running. I plan to on Tuesday.

Slept well. Woke up at 3:30, so I went went with it. Barbell upper body full.
Walked 3 miles with Denise. Roughly 20:00 mpm pace. Chilly…just below 60 F.

Slept well. Overslept considerably and did not workout in the morning. Calf is still bothering me.
Walked 2 miles at the Fort. Roughly 18:30 mpm pace. It was warm. 83F/35%. Broke a light sweat.
Slept well. Given that my calf is bothering me, I hit the Concept 2 this morning.
5,265 m. in 30 minutes. Then walked 2 miles with Denise. By afternoon, my legs were just short of being sore.
Slept well. Pretty groggy on rising. Upper body barbell compound movements in the morning. Felt a bit stronger than usual. Chins went particularly well this morning. Took 2-minute rest between sets for my other movements. For the compound movements, got to 16620 lb, vice 13730 lb for upper body on Monday.
Ran a couple of miles at the Fort @ 12:30. Calf still bothering me.
Some ivy that I worked with decided to manifest itself during the night. Slept in late to make up for the lost sleep, planning to run at work. The rash grew worse during the day. When runtime came, I had a concern that getting out there in the sun, sweating, and being hot would make it worse. So no exercise today.

Denise and I both feeling low energy today. Denise’s recovery from her broken toe continues. My legs are heavy from deadlifts yesterday. Its a very mild morning out there. We’re going for a walk.
We did 3 miles. For one of the half-mile segments, I counted 555 steps on my left leg. That comes to 1,110 steps per mile or 3330 for the outing. I see the value of running: in the time that it takes to walk 3 miles, you can run 6. Still, as with all movement, a little is always better
